The charitable organization Nkabom- a hospital for Ghana e.V. has taken the task to launch financial funds to build a hospital to establish basic medical supply in the area of Pram-Pram. Long lasting support from Germany is not desired. On completion of the building, a Ghanaian doctor will assume position of medical director.
The city of Pram-Pram is located in Ghana, Westafrica near the equator. The 25 million inhabitants don´t have a regulated health care system with health insurance. The average life expectancy in Ghana is age 58, the infant mortality rate is 20 times higher than in Europe.
